| Redefining the Home Portrait |
| I'm an "In-Home Portrait" photographer in that, I come to your home and take portraits of you. However, my perspective is different than most Home Portrait photographers - I would like the usual who, what, when, how and why we have our portraits taken, to expand! You don't have to have kids or be married, it's not about the matching outfits. Couples don't have to be engaged to have a reason to document their togetherness. Portraits are valuable, lasting documents of who we are at any point in our personal histories. I want to know your story. Did you just run a marathon, or just found out you're pregnant, or just renovated your home, or maybe you're just happy to be alive. . . ? When you own an image of yourself that you love, you'll have something you'll want to share for a lifetime. That's valuable. My background is in fine art, editorial and fashion photography. I bring this experience to you and create unique, beautiful images that are fitting for a gallery or magazine spread, but they're yours, to display in your home. Couples, families, singles, young or old, straight or gay, friends or lovers, grandparents, great aunts, musicians, architects, business partners, artists, casual or fancy - rent or own your home, studio, loft, cabin or yurt: these are just some of the "who" portraits are of and the "where" they can be taken. As for the "why" - there are the usual milestones in life and beyond that, I say, why not? Let's capture something beautiful about you and your life this 2011. In addition to in-home portraits, I'm happy to photograph business portraits, high-school seniors, fashion/modeling portfolios, boudoir; whatever your portrait needs are.
